Senior Chef de Partie

Senior Chef de Partie

Prepare and coordinate high-level culinary tasks to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation in a dynamic professional kitchen.

Core Responsibilities

  • Preparation & Cooking

    • Prepare special meals or substitute items according to recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
    • Regulate and monitor the temperature of equipment (ovens, broilers, grills, roasters).
    • Retrieve and thaw frozen food items, ensuring proper storage protocols.
    • Ensure food is portioned, arranged, and garnished to meet Gäste expectations.
    • Maintain detailed food logs to track inventory and preparation plans.
  • Quality & Guest Service

    • Oversee and maintain the quality, presentation, and quantity of all prepared dishes.
    • Communicate food inventory needs, excess items for daily specials, and any out-of-stock menu items to the Chef de Cuisine and service staff.
    • Anticipate and address guest service needs with clear, professional communication.

  • Operational & Team Leadership

    • Assist in managing staff through hiring, training, scheduling, evaluations, and coaching.
    • Uphold company safety, security, and hygiene policies, reporting maintenance needs, accidents, or safety concerns to management.
    • Role-model professionalism in appearance, attitude, and workplace conduct.
    • Foster a positive team culture by developing strong relationships and resolving employee concerns.
  • Administrative & Safety Compliance

    • Ensure all prepared foods meet exacting standards and checklists.
    • Complete mandatory training, including food safety certifications.
    • Maintain confidentiality and protect company assets.
  • Physical Demands

    • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
    • Perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs independently), and precise food handling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Formal training from a Technical, Trade, or Vocational School.
  • Experience:
    • At least 3 years in professional culinary roles.
    • (Note: No supervisory experience required.)
  • Certification: Not mandatory, but food safety training is highly recommended.
