The Chancery Rosewood
The Chancery Rosewood is redefining luxury in Mayfair, housed in the former U.S. Embassy and reimagined by Sir David Chipperfield. With 144 suites by Joseph Dirand and a collection of dynamic dining and bar spaces, it’s a place where experiences are curated, conversations flow, and every detail matters.
As Senior Chef de Partie - Breakfast
You will be a cornerstone of culinary excellence within our kitchen — combining technical mastery with the mentorship and presence to raise those around you. The embodiment of Rosewood's Relationship Hospitality, you bring craft, precision, and genuine passion to every plate you send.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the standard on the section — leading by example through consistent, precise execution and supporting junior chefs through active coaching, preparation briefings, and a genuinely collaborative approach.
- Execute dishes with unfailing precision, maintaining exceptional presentation standards and ensuring every plate leaving your section reflects the quality and care expected of a five-star kitchen.
- Oversee your section with full ownership — managing mise en place, stock levels, and daily preparation to ensure service runs seamlessly and without interruption, handling any challenges with calm and decisiveness.
- Lead the section with confidence in the absence of senior management, making sound decisions that safeguard both culinary standards and the wellbeing of those working alongside you.
- Uphold compliance without compromise — maintaining rigorous food safety, allergen awareness, and HACCP protocols while keeping the section immaculate, organised, and fully guest-ready at all times.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
