Location: Hinxton Hall Conference Centre
Salary: £16.26 per hour + paid overtime
Contract: Permanent, 40 hours per week, 5 out of 7 days per week (evenings & weekends required)
As a Senior Chef De Partie at Hinxton Hall Conference Centre, you will be working alongside the culinary team onsite to deliver a high standard of food across the conference and events operation they have on site. You will be responsible for the production of high-quality food in our popular conference & event venue. You must be a strong team player and be confident working in a busy kitchen. The food that is produced in the kitchen is of a high standard and is diverse.
Due to the location, you must have your own mode of transport as there is no public transport links to the area that Hinxton Hall is located in.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present dishes to a high standard, following the guidance of the head chef, that follows all specification sheets.
- Work across various sections and support kitchen operations
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Collaborate with the team to deliver consistently outstanding service
- Maintain and ensure that food is handled and stored at the correct temperatures always and to be in accordance with food handling and hygiene regulations.
- Ensure that food wastage is recorded and correctly disposed of as well and ensuring that all work areas are kept clean and that all waste is recorded and disposed of correctly.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Chef de Partie in a quality-focused kitchen
- A passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients and beautifully crafted dishes
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to high standards
- Team player with a positive, professional attitude
- Ambition to progress their culinary career under the leadership of our head chef

Salary: Hourly rate based on experience, competitive.
We are always on the lookout for enthusiastic Chefs of all levels to join our fantastic, fast-paced catering team at RHS Garden Wisley.
Set within 240 acres of stunning gardens, Wisley is open all year round and offers a variety of food outlets, from a busy restaurant to welcoming cafés. You’ll be joining a friendly, hardworking team with a shared goal: delivering exceptional service to every visitor.
As a Chef at Wisley, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality food across all of our food outlets. This means preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to an exceptional standard. Working as part of a professional kitchen team, you will contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen, whilst curating an outstanding dining experiences for our guests.
Alongside cooking, your responsibilities will encompass kitchen support, maintenance of a clean, organised, and safe working environment, assistance with stock control and deliveries, and diligence to meet all food safety and hygiene standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled chef looking to further develop their career within a professional kitchen, with opportunities for ongoing training, development, and progression as part of a supportive team.
Due to the location of Wisley RHS Garden it is essential that you are able to get to and from site without relying on public transport.

Shifts:
Shifts will vary between Monday to Sunday. Due to the nature of the business, successful candidates should be flexible and able to work evenings and weekends.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
- Good understanding of food hygiene, health and safety, and kitchen best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting the wider kitchen team.
- Passion for quality food and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Reliable, professional, and able to take initiative when required.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays where required.
