Senior Children's Residential Support Worker
Shift Leader – Children’s Homes | £36,231 - £40,640 (including benefits)

Working in our Children’s Homes means being a part of a young person’s day-to-day life. You’ll witness and celebrate the highest highs and lowest lows, enabling young people to reclaim their childhood while creating pathways to becoming well-rounded adults—an incredibly rewarding journey.
Our homes support young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), and our Shift Leaders play a vital role in creating positive outcomes. While challenges arise, it’s those small victories along the way that make every moment meaningful.

As a Shift Leader, you’ll be the daily anchor for our young people, ensuring routines, connections, and safe, nurturing spaces. You’ll lead a team, maintain operational excellence, and step in as a deputised Team Leader when needed.

What We Offer You
Competitive Remuneration & Benefits
- Base Salary: £30,991 - £35,400 per annum
- Enhanced Earnings:
- Up to 4 sleep-ins per month, paid at £80 each (approx. £3,840 per year)
- £1,400 Attendance Allowance (assuming good attendance)

Typical Hours
- Rotating shift patterns (including nights, early starts, and weekends).
- Sleep-ins encouraged (paid supporting periods available).

No formal experience is required, but here’s what you’ll need:

- Empathy, honesty, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people (and each other).
- The resilience to navigate challenging situations with care and adaptability.
- A full UK driving licence, held for at least 12 months.
- If you don’t already hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), we’ll fund and support your training to qualify you.
