About the Role
Snowdrop House is a solo EBD (Emotionally Based Disturbed) home, providing our young person a safe, caring and structured home environment.
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll play a key part in the running of the home and in meeting the needs of your young person.
Responsibilities Include:
- Building strong, trust-based relationships with children, families, and professionals
- Supporting care plans and helping young people achieve their goals
- Acting as a role model and supervising junior team members on shift
- Ensuring a safe, clean, and positive home environment for everyone
- Encouraging learning, development, and independence for every child
- Maintaining accurate and professional records

Requirements
As a candidate, you must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of 12 months experience in residential childcare
- A Level 3 Diploma (or above) in Residential Childcare (or an equivalent qualification)
- A full UK driving licence (essential for transporting young people and attending meetings)
- A calm, resilient, and compassionate approach to care
- Availability to work shift patterns, including overnight/sleep-ins (e.g. a 2-on, 4-off rotation)
- The right to work in the UK
- Completion of a successful Full Enhanced Disclosure, right to work check, and professional reference compliance ( čovider costs covered by Esland).

*NB: Foregoing estimating includes average is based on a pay scale of £13.80 – £15.45 per hour (day rate (depending on qualifications)) + approximately 8 sleep nights per month (£60 per occasional stay). These rates apply from April 2026.
