Senior Childrens Residential Support Worker

Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home

Location: Huddersfield, HD5

Salary: Up to £37,834 (depending on qualifications)

Hours: Full-time (2 days + 2 sleep nights in a row, followed by a 4-day break)

About Snowdrop House

A solo EBD (Emotionally Based Difficulties) home, we provide a safe, caring, and structured home environment for young people in need of support.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in:

  • The daily running of the home
  • Meeting the specific needs of our young person

Your Role Will Include

  • Building strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals
  • Supporting care plans and helping young people achieve personal goals
  • Mentoring junior colleagues and setting a professional example
  • Promoting a safe, clean, and happy home environment
  • Encouraging learning, development, and independence
  • Keeping thorough, up-to-date care records

What We’re Looking For

We need a dedicated professional with:

  • A minimum of 12 months experience in residential childcare
  • A Level 3 Diploma (or equivalent) in Residential Childcare
  • A full UK driving licence (for transporting young people and attending meetings)
  • A calm, resilient, and compassionate approach to care
  • Ability to work shift patterns, including sleep-ins (2-on, 4-off rota provided)
  • Legal right to work in the UK

Employment is subject to:

  • Reference, health, and safeguarding checks
