Senior Children's Residential Support Worker

Children and Young People

Residential Care

Location: Wakefield, WF1

Position: 4 Bed Emotional Behavioural Difficulties

Age Range: 8-17 years old

Pay: £15.75 per hour plus £3000 welcome bonus

Hours: 160 hours per month

Sleep Rate: £45 per sleep

Requirement: Must have- Level 3 Children & Young Persons Workforce.

Our client, a reputable organisation supporting children and young people with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (ages 8-17), is hiring a dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join their team in Manchester. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead, support, and inspire young people to thrive and develop independence.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting children and young people with daily routines, hobbies, education, and social activities
  • Promoting independence, personal growth, and new opportunities
  • Leading shifts and providing guidance to team members
  • Managing the home in the absence of the Deputy or Registered Manager
  • Conducting staff supervisions and supporting team development
  • Overseeing health and safety procedures, including risk assessments
  • Supporting induction and onboarding of new staff
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people at all times
