About the Role
A well-established civil engineering and transport planning consultancy based in Southwark is looking to appoint a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join their close-knit London team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key technical role, working across a range of residential and infrastructure projects, while maintaining a strong level of hands-on design involvement.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Civil Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of development infrastructure schemes, particularly within the residential sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) and providing planning support
- Designing highways and drainage infrastructure for residential developments
- Producing detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Designing SuDS schemes and supporting submissions for adoption
- Using software such as Civil 3D, Causeway Flow, and/or Site 3D
- Supporting junior engineers and contributing to team development
- Working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver projects
Requirements
You will be expected to have:
- Strong experience in civil engineering design within a consultancy environment
- A background in residential development and infrastructure design
- Experience with:
- Drainage design and SuDS
- Highways design
- Flood Risk Assessments
- Proficiency in Civil 3D, Causeway Flow, or similar software
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Ambition to continue progressing toward senior leadership
