A well-established consultancy is strengthening its infrastructure capability across residential and mixed-use developments. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will take ownership of drainage, infrastructure, and flood risk design from concept through to technical approval and delivery.

The Senior Civil Engineer will lead Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies, and S104, S38, and S278 submissions while coordinating with clients, local authorities, and internal design teams. This Senior Civil Engineer role combines hands-on technical delivery with mentoring and programme management within a supportive Derby office.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver drainage, infrastructure, and flood risk designs
  • Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
  • Lead S104, S38, and S278 technical approvals
  • Undertake feasibility studies and earthworks assessments
  • Manage multiple projects and maintain quality control

Candidate requirements

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar
  • Around six years UK consultancy experience
  • Strong drainage and infrastructure background
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage or Flow
  • Confident communicator with commercial awareness
