Looking to take ownership of projects while working on some of the UK's most challenging and architecturally significant developments?

A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer to join its growing London team in New Malden. With over 25 years of engineering excellence, the practice delivers innovative civil, structural and environmental engineering solutions across residential, commercial, retail, education, hotel and mixed-use developments, as well as complex refurbishment and regeneration projects throughout the UK and internationally.

The Role

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll take responsibility for delivering infrastructure designs from concept through to construction while managing projects and working closely with clients, architects and multidisciplinary design teams.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Leading the design of highways, drainage and external works for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
  • Producing drainage strategies, SuDS designs, earthworks and infrastructure layouts using Civil 3D, AutoCAD and drainage design software.
  • Delivering designs for S38, S104, S106 and S278 agreements.
  • Managing multiple projects, ensuring technical quality, programme and commercial objectives are achieved.
  • Attending client, contractor and local authority meetings throughout project delivery.
  • Mentoring graduate and intermediate engineers while supporting their technical development.
  • Assisting with fee proposals, resource planning and the continued growth of the civil engineering team.

What We're Looking For

We're Keen To Speak With Candidates Who Have

  • Around 5+ years' experience within a UK civil engineering consultancy.
  • Strong experience in highways and drainage design for development infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Experience using MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage or similar drainage software.
  • Knowledge of S38, S104, S106 and S278 approvals.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • ICE Chartership or active progress towards Chartership would be advantageous.
