Job Purpose
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join our St Albans team. A Senior Civil Engineer at Wintech is responsible for the design and delivery of challenging schemes from inception through to project handover, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the design process and working knowledge of brief and scope documents.
- Identify scope requirements and accurately estimate timeframes for project delivery.
- Develop design concepts and undertake complex civil engineering design using Civil 3D, Causeway, or similar software.
- Manage and support the team, liaise with clients, prepare fee proposals, and deliver project briefings.
- Provide guidance, oversight, and mentoring to team members.
- Conduct design quality checks and oversee the production of design drawings.
- Monitor and manage project fees against the agreed scope of services throughout design progress.
- Represent the company in meetings and collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and clients.
- Carry out site visits, prepare reports, and review reports prepared by others.

Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in civil engineering (or equivalent).
- Chartered status or working towards chartership with ICE.
- Proficient in civil engineering design software, including Autodesk platforms, PDS, Flow, Civil 3D, and drainage design tools such as Infra/MicroDrainage or equivalent.
- Comprehensive expertise in site levels, drainage systems, and surface design, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Strong understanding of environmental impact with a commitment to delivering sustainable solutions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience collaborating with stakeholders.
