Senior Civil Engineer – IEng / ICE Progression Civil Engineering Consultancy | Career Development | Project Leadership Location Hampshire / South Coast Salary £45,000 – £60,000 + Bonus + Hybrid Working + Excellent Benefits

The Opportunity: My client is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their growing Civil Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Civil Engineer looking to take the next step in their career within a modern and expanding consultancy environment. The role offers exposure to a broad range of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects, with the opportunity to manage schemes from planning through to construction. You’ll play a key role in technical delivery, client management, and mentoring junior engineers while working alongside an experienced senior leadership team. This position would suit someone already operating at Senior level or an experienced Civil Engineer ready to progress into a more senior role with greater responsibility and career development opportunities.

The Role: Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects Manage drainage strategies, highways layouts, and infrastructure schemes Oversee projects through planning, technical approvals, and construction stages Work closely with developers, architects, contractors, and local authorities Undertake and coordinate design work for drainage and highways projects Review junior engineers’ reports, drawings, and technical outputs Attend client meetings and site visits Prepare fee proposals and support project commercial management Mentor and support junior engineers within the team Ensure projects are delivered in line with quality, safety, and sustainability standards

About You: Degree or HND qualified in Civil Engineering Ideally Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working towards professional accreditation Minimum 5 years’ consultancy experience Strong experience in highways and drainage design Experience delivering projects through planning and construction phases Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D (or similar software) Commercially aware with strong communication skills Organised, ambitious, and capable of managing projects independently
