Civil/Structural Engineer – Lead Technical Role (UK Nuclear Industry)

About the Role
Your primary responsibility will be to:
- Lead the delivery of civil & structural engineering projects
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams throughout the design lifecycle, spanning Concept, Scheme, Detailed Design, and Construction Phases
- Develop engineering solutions for bids and value-proposition proposals
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure cost-efficient and timely delivery
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to build long-lasting partnerships
- Mentor junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
Essential Criteria
- Chartered Engineer (ChEng) status through ICE (MICE) or IStructE (MIStructE)
- Significant experience in designing steel and reinforced concrete structures
- Proven experience leading technical teams with a strong track record in engineering problem-solving and risk management
- Passion for career development, demonstrated through mentorship and upskilling of junior colleagues
- Clear and strategic thinking, identifying opportunities for growth and value delivery
