Role: Senior Claims Adjuster
Location: London (Hybrid)
Purpose
Manage a portfolio of complex Property and Specialty claims, providing technical expertise, supporting junior colleagues, and delivering an exceptional claims service within a leading London Market insurer.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and negotiate complex claims across Property, Binders, Utilities, Political Violence & Terrorism, and Accident & Health classes
- Manage claims from notification through to settlement within delegated authority
- Ensure timely progression of claims in line with internal procedures and customer service standards
- Act as a technical referral point and mentor for less experienced team members
- Build strong relationships with underwriters, brokers, clients, and other key stakeholders
- Provide claims insight to support underwriting decisions and policy interpretation
- Collaborate across claims teams, sharing technical knowledge and supporting wider business initiatives
- Lead or contribute to ad hoc projects and continuous improvement activities

Skills & Experience
- Strong experience handling complex London Market claims
- Property claims experience preferred, particularly Open Market Property and Property Binders; experience in Political Violence, Terrorism, Utilities or Accident & Health also of interest
- Strong understanding of London Market systems (e.g. ECF)
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical ability with experience using claims data to identify trends and provide insight
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

Qualification
Dip CII/ACII qualified or working towards professional insurance qualifications preferred.
