Senior Claims Adjuster - Casualty
Senior Claims Adjuster - Casualty (Casualty)
Location: City of London – Hybrid
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of Casualty claims from initial notification through to final resolution, assessing:
- Coverage
- Liability
- Quantum
- Reserving
- Claim strategy
- Ensure compliance with:
- Delegated authority limits
- Reserving philosophies
- Claims handling standards
- Referral procedures
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including:
- Policyholders
- Brokers
- Co-insurers
- Actuaries
- Underwriters
- Instruct, oversee, and manage:
- Panel solicitors
- Loss adjusters
- Third-party administrators (TPAs)
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive claim files with high standards of:
- Record-keeping
- Documentation
- Uphold the Claims Charter and Code of Conduct, delivering:
- Excellent customer service
- Positive client outcomes
- Support Claims Manager and Head of Casualty Claims with:
- Audit activities
- Management reporting
- Operational requirements
- Contribute to business initiatives by:
- Sharing market insights
- Supporting research projects
- Developing claims and underwriting strategies
- Raise the profile of the Claims team through:
- Participation in market meetings
- Industry events
- Collaboration with business development teams
- Ensure full compliance with:
- Regulatory requirements
- Internal policies
- Conduct standards, including:
- SMCR (Senior Managers and Certification Regime)
- Solvency II
- Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles
- Financial Crime
- Data Protection
- Conflicts of Interest
- Whistleblowing obligations
