Purpose of the Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Claims Adjuster to join our well-established and market-leading Claims team. This individual will be responsible for managing claims for all property classes (encompassing Open Market Property, Binders, & Utilities), as well as Political Violence & Terrorism and Accident & Health classes of business.

The Senior Claims Handler will be responsible for investigating, evaluating and negotiating a portfolio of complex claims, whilst supporting less experienced members of the team. This position is ideal for a confident, driven individual, who is looking to take on new responsibilities within a dynamic, high-performing Syndicate.

Duties And Accountabilities

  • Proactively and effectively manage claims, ranging in complexity, within a pre-determined authority level in accordance with AEGIS London’s Claims commitment, philosophy and procedures
  • Be responsible for ensuring all claims within your class are managed, progressed and resolved in a timely manner, whilst adhering to internal and external standards for claims handling and customer service
  • Work closely with the Claims Manager and Head of Claims to provide resource and input to claims from all classes, as well as ensuring that they – along with the wider Claims team – are well informed of any relevant claims movements, issues and trends
  • Act as both a referral point and role model for less experienced members of the team
  • Develop strong relationships with peers across the Market and within AEGIS London. Be responsible for ensuring our Underwriters and other internal stakeholders are kept informed of valuable claims information and/or issues and the subsequent impact on underwriting and policy interpretation
  • Work in conjunction with the Senior Claims Adjusters across other lines, sharing knowledge and skills where appropriate, to ensure the Claims team is working as efficiently as possible
  • Undertake and lead on other adhoc tasks or projects as they arise

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
