Senior Professional Indemnity Claims Handler

About the Opportunity

An established and highly respected insurance organisation is seeking an experienced Professional Indemnity Claims Handler to join its growing Professional & Financial Risks team based in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a claims professional looking to manage a varied portfolio of Financial Lines claims while developing their expertise within a collaborative and supportive environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of Financial Lines claims, with a primary focus on UK and international Professional Indemnity matters. Exposure to additional classes such as Directors & Officers (D&O), Financial Institutions (FI), and Cyber claims would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing claims from notification through to resolution.
  • Interpreting policy coverage and providing technical claims guidance.
  • Liaising with insurers, brokers, clients, legal representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintaining accurate claims records and ensuring compliance with market and regulatory requirements.
  • Handling claims via London Market systems and processes.
  • Attending client meetings and supporting relationship management activities where required.
  • Contributing to the continued development of the claims function and sharing technical expertise within the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
