Senior Professional Indemnity Claims Handler
About the Opportunity
An established and highly respected insurance organisation is seeking an experienced Professional Indemnity Claims Handler to join its growing Professional & Financial Risks team based in London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a claims professional looking to manage a varied portfolio of Financial Lines claims while developing their expertise within a collaborative and supportive environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of Financial Lines claims, with a primary focus on UK and international Professional Indemnity matters. Exposure to additional classes such as Directors & Officers (D&O), Financial Institutions (FI), and Cyber claims would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing claims from notification through to resolution.
- Interpreting policy coverage and providing technical claims guidance.
- Liaising with insurers, brokers, clients, legal representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Maintaining accurate claims records and ensuring compliance with market and regulatory requirements.
- Handling claims via London Market systems and processes.
- Attending client meetings and supporting relationship management activities where required.
- Contributing to the continued development of the claims function and sharing technical expertise within the team.

About You
- Significant experience handling Professional Indemnity claims.
- Strong technical claims knowledge and policy interpretation skills.
- A solid understanding of London Market claims processes and practices.
- Experience using London Market claims systems, including ECF and CLASS.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- A proactive approach to learning, development, and career progression.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- Exposure to D&O, Financial Institutions, or Cyber claims.
- ACII qualification or active progress towards ACII certification.
