Senior Technical Claims Handler – Strata Solicitors

Strata Solicitors, our in-house legal team, is growing and looking for a Senior Technical Claims Handler to join us. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in large-loss Personal Injury claims (over £100k), looking to excel in case management, technical leadership, and delivering exceptional outcomes.

Location: Flexible with Blisworth or Tamworth office access + hybrid working. Occasional on-site attendance required.


Key Responsibilities

You will lead high-value, complex Personal Injury claims from initial notification through to settlement, driving cost-effective, timely resolution while developing strategic expertise across the team.

Core Duties Include:

  • Managing a portfolio of large-loss Personal Injury claims (£100k+), guiding them through pre-litigation stages to optimal outcomes.
  • Developing and executing liability and quantum strategies, balancing expertise with customer-centred solutions.
  • Acting as a technical referral resource, providing in-depth guidance on challenging claims and uplifting team capability.
  • Ensuring sharp reserving, management information (MI), and compliance with SLAs and best-practice standards.
  • Proactively strengthening relationships with client teams, insurers, and solicitors, including participation in case reviews.
  • Supporting leadership in process improvement, technical rigor, and sustainable service delivery.

What You Bring

Your experience and passion for detail in high-stakes claims will be your foundation.

✔ 3+ years in Handling high-value Personal Injury claims (£100k+). ✔ Expertise in third-party claims within a legal, insurance, or Third-Party Administrator (TPA) environment. ✔ Confidence in analysing liability and quantum discussions with parties in dispute. ✔ Deep familiarity with Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and relevant case law—plus the ability to apply legal logic to outcomes. ✔ Reported niche benefits (e.g., experience in EL/PL, credit hire, or property claims)—though these can be built into the role. ✔ A clear, compelling communicator, skilled at advocating, advising, and building partnerships. ✔ UK work eligibility.
