About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Barts Health NHS Trust as a senior operational leader within our Soft Facilities Management Directorate. As one of the largest NHS trusts in the UK, Barts Health offers the scale, complexity and ambition to make this a highly rewarding role for someone who wants to make a real difference to patients, colleagues and the wider organisation.
Based within one of our hospital sites, this Band 8A role will provide tactical leadership for the delivery of high-quality cleaning and hygiene services in a busy healthcare environment. The postholder will play a key role in ensuring that our hospitals are clean, safe, welcoming and well-managed for patients, visitors and staff.
We are looking for someone who can bring strong operational management experience, sound judgement and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will help shape the future of cleaning services across Barts Health, supporting the development of consistent standards, effective governance, strong financial management and service improvements that deliver real benefits for our hospitals.

- 1 role in St Bartholomew's Hospital
- 1 role in Whipps Cross Hospital
This is a role where innovation and collaboration are central. You will work with clinical teams, Infection Prevention and Control colleagues, Estates leads, Soft FM teams and our Compliance, Quality Assurance and Audit Team to maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, safety and assurance. You will also have the opportunity to support modern ways of working, including the use of digital tools, data, technology and new cleaning methods to improve service quality and operational performance.
