Role Summary
This critical role is focused on shaping client portfolio management post-sale, ensuring long-term client success through strong relationships, exceptional service delivery, and proactive support.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary Point of Contact: Act as the dedicated first point of contact for an assigned pool of clients, ensuring trust-based relationships.
- Project Management: Coordinate with internal teams to deliver R&D Tax Relief claims, reports, and other services accurately and within deadlines.
- Proactive Client Engagement: Regularly check-in with clients to gauge satisfaction, address needs, and identify follow-on opportunities without direct sales pressure.
- Satisfaction Monitoring: Track client satisfaction, resolve issues promptly, and escalate complex matters to technical specialists as required.
- CRM Management: Maintain detailed records of client interactions, project progress, and deliverables using our CRM system.
- Process Development: Shape best practices in account management, as a pioneering hire in this division.
- Client Retention: Drive long-term partnership growth through exceptional service and communication.

Requirements
Must Haves
- 3+ years’ experience as an Account Manager, Client Manager, or equivalent role in R&D, tax advisory, or professional services.
- Demonstrated ability to manage client portfolios, build/maintain long-term relationships, and act as the primary point of contact for clients.
- Confidence in proactive client outreach (phone, email) and implementing relationship management strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust quickly and handle client queries professionally.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills to coordinate deliverables and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently in a developing function, demonstrating the initiative to shape and refine processes.
- Experience in applying client service excellence within B2B/professional services environments.
- A valid full UK driving licence.
