Senior Client Manager

Senior Client Manager – 6-Month Contract (Creative & Experiential Agency)

Sweet&Chilli is a leading creative and experiential agency with offices in London, Sydney, Los Angeles, Singapore, São Paulo & Paris, founded in 2003. The UK operation is structured around 2 key client-facing departments:

  • Event Production
  • Creative Strategy Supported by Client Services, Finance and Logistics, the team thrives on synergy and operational excellence. Key focus areas:
  • Trade advocacy (relationship management & partnerships)
  • Brand experience (immersive campaigns)
  • Strategic campaigns (delivering vision-led work)

Role Overview

This is a senior-focused, contractual 6-month position within Sweet&Chilli UK. Key responsibilities are split into equal parts:

  • Client-facing strategy consultations with luxury hospitality & drinks brands
  • Hands-on project & event delivery, blending creative rigour with operational precision

The ideal candidate owns account relationships end-to-end, moving fluidly between client meetings, strategic sessions, and detail-driven execution.

Day-to-Day Work:

  • Primarily office-based at 8 Holyrood St, London SE1 2EL, with numerous Site visits, Client check-ins, and Live-event on-siting.
  • Direct accountability to Leila Ghazai (Associate Director) (client-side) and close collaborations with Steve Soundum (Client Director), Creative & Production Teams.

Personal Competencies & Requirements

Essential Attitude & Skills:

✔ Strategic triunvirate: Blend client intelligence, commercial instinct and delivery execution with equal authority. ✔ Attitude: Embrace contradictions—both visionary planner and hands-on empiricist. ✔ Sector focus: Drinks or hospitality sector experience required. ✔ Leadership in delivery: Proven history of owning complex, multi-stream campaigns and live events—from brief to closeout. ✔ Communication as influence: Strong tone in client leadership, stakeholder management and concise presentations. ✔ Commercial acumen: Budget-conscious, growth-aware—identify value beyond project scope. Track higher-level account insights. ✔ Execution mindset: "I act, I manage." Must own ops/interim pivots without reliance on delegation.

Technical Requirements:

✔ Progressive control over budget analytics (profitability, resource allocation). ✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 + Scoro or similar project management software (preferred). ✔ Excellent logistical coordination skills for live venue execution.


Key Responsibilities

Client Management

  • Single point of contact for portfolio of luxury brands/drinks clients.
  • Deep-market insight: Align agendas with client strategy, competition & economic trends.
    • Specialize in shaping discussions/table matting via structured, accountable meetings.
  • Clear articulation: Craft elevated deliverables (proposals, briefs, reports) reflecting strategic foresight.
  • Relationship growth: Propose expansive project opportunities aligned to client goals.

Project & Event Delivery

  • Full cycle execution (brief → invoicing & reconciliation).
    • Handle workflows across trade advocacy, creative campaigns & brand experiences.
  • Operational ownership:
    • Build & refine timelines/critical paths, risk-mitigate, protect quality.
    • That standard: Mastery of project documentation (TO dos, venue contracts, supplier SPEs).
  • Frontrow management:
    • Event coordinator: Ensure live experiences meet Sweet&Chilli standards by overseeing team/personal delivery.

Financial Management

Budget grasp & visibility:

  • Accurus budget accuracy (scrape effort margins/overruns).
  • Financial fluency: Translate clarity externally and internally, spot cost drivers.

Internal Impact

  • Diversified strategist: Contribute critical input to new-business pitches.
  • Culture model: Elevate Collaboration frameworks + set expectations within Client Services.
  • Upgrade partner: Stay aligned with line manager on **riverside progress/lag/upgrade_.
