About the Role
This appointment offers the opportunity to work in a lively, supportive, innovative department, with excellent training and opportunities to explore your interests.
UCLH is looking to recruit a Clinical Fellow in General Paediatrics (ST4+ equivalent) to commence from September 7th 2026 for 6 months [contract ends 27th February 2027]. You will be on the out of hours rota with other middle grade trainees. There is opportunity for additional specialty work depending on your interest and you will be supported to reach your potential. Terms and conditions are the same as the formal trainees within the department.
Options for Special Interests as per candidate’s preference include:

- Haematology (red cell, non-malignant)

- Infectious Diseases and Inclusion Health

- Epilepsy
- Integrated Care

The post is based in general paediatrics encompassing PED, inpatient wards and outpatient clinics. Baseline working is 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and the on call out of hours commitment is a contribution to a 13-person junior grade rota made up of normal days, long days, lates, twilights and nights (see below). Successful candidates are encouraged to sign up to the hospital bank if desired to help fill occasional out of hours locum work (long days and/or weekends). Outpatient experience is included in this post and includes running and managing your own rapid referral clinics or specialty clinics depending on the candidate’s interests.
