Job Responsibilities

Managing Haematology Emergencies

  • Managing Haematology emergencies within the ward-based setting.
  • Managing patients within the new and follow-up clinic including complex chronic conditions.

Day Unit Management

  • Day unit management of patients including prescribing chemotherapy and managing complications.

Laboratory-Based Haematology

  • Reporting blood films and Bone marrow biopsies.
  • Use of the lab for transfusion medicine and coagulation testing.
  • Performing practical procedures including Bone marrow biopsies.
