Job Opportunity: Clinical Fellows in Paediatric Ophthalmology
Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust is currently recruiting for experienced Clinical Fellows to join the Paediatric Ophthalmology Department on a fixed-term 12 months contract commencing in August 2027.
About the Role
This one-year post will provide sub-specialist training in all aspects of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, with excellent exposure to clinics and surgery. Adult strabismus sessions will be at the Oxford Eye Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery of care to patients in addition to the fixed clinical commitments of the weekly timetable, at the instruction of the supervising consultants.
- Contribute to the postgraduate activities of the service, including teaching, presentation, and publication.
Location
The post is primarily based at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, with the adult strabismus sessions at Oxford Eye Hospital and ROP screening and treatment at Birmingham Women’s Hospital.
