Job Opportunity: Trust Doctor (ST3 and above) in Trauma and Orthopaedics

This post is for a 6 months contract Trust Doctor (ST3 and above) in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. At the end of the 6 months there is a possibility of 6 months extension after successful review. The post will be allocated to an orthopaedic consultant supporting the clinic, theatre and trauma. The post holder will be supporting the junior doctor team on a daily basis.

Duties

  • 8 fixed clinical sessions plus on-call duties which equate to 1 in 9
  • To participate in an internal arrangement of surgical teams which provide cross cover
  • Daily attendance of trauma meeting
  • Daily ward round
  • Consultant support in clinic, theatre and trauma
  • Teaching and supporting junior staff members
  • Attendance of audit and departmental meetings
