Senior Clinical Fellow - Intensive Care

Intensive Care Doctor Fellowship Opportunities


About the Fellowship

These exciting fellowships offer experienced intensive care doctors with at least 18 months of anaesthetic experience the chance to:

  • Broaden their ICU skills
  • Develop their educational CV
  • Gain POCUS (Point-of-Care Ultrasound) accreditation
  • Undertake research or explore leadership/management potential
  • Participate in Digital Health and Innovation initiatives

Role Responsibilities

The successful clinical fellow will:

  • Be highly motivated to engage in:
    • Quality improvement projects
    • Teaching initiatives
    • Research, with potential for local and national presentations
  • Work within the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FICM) and Royal College of Anaesthetists’ recommendations for anaesthesia and intensive care specialist training
  • Contribute to meeting relevant Portfolio Pathway (CESR) competencies (for either Intensive Care Medicine (ICM) or Anaesthetic curricula CCT)

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be registered with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • Have at least 5 years of Post-Graduation medical experience
  • Possess at least 18 months of anaesthetic/airway experience
  • Be capable of delivering Intensive Care Medicine at ST3+ ( Registrar) level or equivalent
  • Support available for Primary FRCA exam (if not obtained)
