Senior Clinical Fellow - Interventional Cardiology
Senior Fellow in Complex Coronary Intervention
Location: Golden Jubilee University National Hospital (UK’s largest PCI centre, performing 3,000 PCIs annually) Fixed-term Post: 12 months (starting August 2026)
About the Role
Applications are invited for Senior Fellow in Complex Coronary Intervention. The successful candidate will gain extensive hands-on experience in complex PCI procedures, including:
- Performing 500 PCAIs during the fellowship (majority as first operator)
- Working across all aspects of coronary intervention, with a strong emphasis on:
- Intravascular imaging techniques
- Adjunctive device usage
- Left main stem PCI
- Bifurcation lesions
- Multi-vessel PCI
- CTO (Chronic Total Occlusion) programmes
- Contributing to research in coronary intervention, balancing:
- Hands-on cath lab work (for up to 3-4 extended days per week)
- Academic/research commitment for remaining days

- Participation in monthly coronary and valve multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings
- Attendance at regional CME meetings
- Monthly Morbidity and Mortality (M&M) reviews

Additional Responsibilities
- Potential requirement: Participation in on-call clinical fellow rota (out-of-hours duty may arise)
