This is an exciting new job, created to support a new Neurology Speciality ward at the Queens Medical Centre.
We are looking for an experienced clinical pharmacist with a passion for neurology to work with the doctors, nurses and wider MDT on the neurology ward to deliver excellent care to our patients.
The post holder will have a key role in supporting the change in speciality for the ward area, ensuring safe prescribing, administration and medicines management on the ward.
The post holder will be supported by the Specialist Pharmacist for Neurology and the Specialist Pharmacist for Neurosciences, along with the wider Neurology and Pharmacy teams.
The post holder will primarily provide a clinical pharmacy ward service to the Neurology ward at Queens Medical Centre.

To provide a clinical pharmacy service to the Neurology ward.
To work alongside the multidisciplinary team delivering excellent patient care through medicines optimisation. If a qualified prescriber, the post holder will also utilise their prescribing skills to do this.
To facilitate with timely discharges by clinically screening discharge prescriptions/TTOs.
To assist the Specialist Clinical Pharmacists with specialty level support roles such as governance, teaching and guidelines.
To support, mentor & line manage junior pharmacists, medicines management technicians and students.
To be actively involved in quality improvement projects.
