Senior Clinical Research Midwife or Nurse – Women's Health Research Team
Position: Senior Clinical Research Midwife or Nurse
Opportunity: University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) is offering an exceptional opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Clinical Research Midwife or Nurse to join their established Women's Health Research team.
About the Role

You will take lead responsibility for the setup, management, and coordination of commercial and non-commercial studies across:
- Obstetrics
- Gynaecology
- Neonatology

Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the full lifecycle of studies, from feasibility and regulatory approvals to recruitment, data collection, and close-out
- Ensuring protocols are delivered in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and local standards

Leadership responsibilities:
- Providing line management and mentorship for a team of clinical research delivery staff
- Supporting and developing clinical and research staff
- Promoting a positive research culture and ensuring research integration into clinical pathways across the Division

- The team focuses predominantly on obstetrics and gynaecology, making prior experience in Women’s Health research highly desirable for ideal candidates.
Key Requirement
Applications are encouraged from experienced clinical research nurses or midwives but applicants without direct Women’s Health experience, particularly those lacking a background in Women’s Health research, are likely to not meet essential criteria for this position.
