The role

As a Senior Cloud Engineer within Digital Services, you will play an engaging, pivotal role throughout the full solution lifecycle. Collaborating closely with the wider Renewables Digital team and partner organisations, you will guide, advise, and, when needed, immerse yourself within delivery teams to thoughtfully design and build cloud-native solutions. You will nurture the quality of deliverables, take ownership in overcoming challenges, and help sustain positive momentum within the team. Your remit will include championing our established cloud framework and tooling, ensuring these are clearly understood and embraced across the team. By encouraging openness, alignment, and the adoption of best practices, you will help foster efficiency and predictability in delivery.

You will

  • Provide empathetic leadership in DevOps practices, offering supportive guidance, best-practice expertise, and hands-on Azure/AWS experience to uplift capability and ensure teams feel empowered to use the right tools and ways of working for successful delivery.
  • Reduce risk by encouraging robust validation and verification of technical outputs, working collaboratively with QA, testing, and security assurance to uphold high standards and protect the business during periods of change.
  • Adapt confidently across a variety of delivery contexts, remaining focused on positive outcomes. Teamwork, collaboration, and a sense of shared accountability for end-to-end delivery—including interfaces with wider IT—are at the heart of your approach.
  • Champion continuous improvement across teams, services, and solutions, nurturing opportunities to streamline delivery, enhance tooling, and introduce efficiencies. A positive attitude towards innovation, embracing new ideas, and learning from setbacks is key.
  • Play an active and supportive role in early-stage discovery and planning, contributing to showcases, proofs of concept, requirements gathering and validation. Collaborate with product owners to shape backlogs and provide thoughtful effort estimates to support prioritisation and forward planning.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
