Job Description: Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS, EKS, Kubernetes)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Cloud Engineer to join our team and manage our AWS cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust and scalable infrastructure to support our microservices-based applications. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS services (AWS EKS), containerization, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Mandatory Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or a related field with at least 3+ years of experience in AWS cloud environments.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture, concepts, and resource management w.r.t AWS EKS clusters.
- Strong understanding of AWS core services like EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, CloudWatch.
- Strong Knowledge in configuring and maintaining SPLUNK and datadog.
- Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Hands-on experience with managing and operating EKS clusters environments.
- Experience with service mesh technologies like ISTIO and its integration with Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and experience with Jenkins or similar tools.
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience in implementing day-2 (upgrades, backup & restore, cost optimization etc.)

Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of container security best practices and tools.
- Knowledge of creating Helm charts.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools using Open Telemetry Tools.
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning for cloud environments.
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Sysops Administrator, AWS Security or DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
