Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Nationwide (Flexible remote options[]) Company: e.surv Chartered Surveyors – part of the LSL Property Services Group PLC Employment Type: Permanent
About the Role
Trading since 1989, e.surv is the UK’s largest residential surveyor and a leading provider of property risk expertise and residential surveying services. We inspect over one property every 12 seconds, employ 600+ surveyors nationwide, and partner with lenders, intermediaries, estate agents, and private customers to support one of the UK’s busiest property sectors. As part of the LSL Property Services Group, we work with brands like Your Move, Reeds Rains, and PRIMIS.
This role provides 3rd-line support for cloud services, ensuring secure and resilient cloud infrastructure including:
- Email, IaaS
- PaaS, IaC
- Storage solutions
- DevOps and network environments
Your primary responsibility will be to design, maintain, and enhance cloud infrastructure to support e.surv’s strategic initiatives and technology roadmap, with a focus on Azure Cloud adoption and modernisation.
Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure Design & Delivery Design, plan, and implement cloud infrastructure services (IaaS, PaaS, networks) that align with e.surv’s strategy and roadmap.
- Own Azure Cloud adoption, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.
- Lead the migration and optimisation of legacy systems into Microsoft Azure.

Daily 3rd-Level Technical Support Deliver robust operational support for:
- IaaS, storage, and networking
- Active Directory, File & Print services
- Exchange Online
- Escalation pathways for junior engineers and collaborative problem-solving sessions.

Partners & Third-Party Relationships Establish and maintain strong relationships with technical vendors to track licensing, compliance, and service improvements.

Proactive Service Management
- Ensure IT assets are listed and tracked in the IT Asset Register.
- Plan for end-of-life migrations and security patches.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) on service outages and oversee incident/problem resolution.

Technical Excellence & Modernisation
- Provide expertise in promotions of new technical deployments into production.
- Continuously explore efficiency improvements to cloud and on-premise operations.
What You’ll Need
Essential:
✔ Proficiency in Azure Cloud (~2–5+ years’ experience in IaaS, PaaS, Storage, Networks). ✔ Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with (e.g. Terraform, ARM, Bicep). ✔ Active Directory & Azure AD: Deep understanding and operational hands-on experience. ✔ DevOps & Automation: Building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitOps practices). ✔ Remote Access/Anywhere Access: Prior experience with VPN (PFSense, Cloudflare Access). ✔ Enterprise Security: Experience with AV/anti-malware (e.g. BitDefender). ✔ Networking Expertise: Understanding of IP routing, TCP/IP, and [networking protocols](https://devicescms.malwarebytes.com/dataконаلبбмарчett tiresii.com). ✔ Backup & Restore: Experience with Azure ASR (Site Recovery), Veeam, or similar. ✔ Escalation Support: Acting as a point of contact for junior engineers and multi-level issue resolution. ✔ OS Knowledge: Confident with Windows, Linux, OS infrastructure.
