A quick-start contract working on GCP programme oversight and cloud transformation delivery for a high-profile client.
This is a 6-month initial engagement with potential to extend. The single most important requirement is proven experience leading complex cloud transformation programmes, ideally involving Google Cloud Platform.
This is not a general project management position; we need someone who has personally delivered large-scale cloud adoption, programme governance and stakeholder alignment in a real production environment.
Your Mission
Your mission is to provide senior programme leadership across GCP-focused transformation activity, ensuring strategic objectives, roadmaps, benefits and delivery plans are clearly aligned and actively managed.
You will work across cloud programme oversight, benefit realisation, new capability coordination and stakeholder communications, partnering with senior business leaders, technical teams, customer stakeholders, channel partners and third-party delivery teams.
The strongest candidates will be able to explain what they personally designed, built, migrated, implemented or operated.
What You Will Be Doing
- Provide oversight and coordination across GCP and cloud adoption programmes
- Manage benefit realisation, programme OKRs, roadmap alignment and new capability coordination
- Build trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders, including CxO and Board-level audiences
- Translate complex business and technical challenges into structured, actionable delivery plans
- Lead cross-functional teams across business, technical, partner and third-party groups
- Manage programme communications to ensure clear visibility of progress, risks, dependencies and decisions
- Define programme control criteria, governance routines and delivery reporting standards
- Support delivery across Waterfall, Agile and hybrid programme methodologies
- Review and improve delivery practices, including process excellence and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with stakeholders in English and produce clear programme documentation, plans and status reporting

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
