About The Role
At Holland & Barrett, We've completed a major shift to a cloud-native architecture, using containers, Kubernetes, serverless, and event-driven services at scale. As our cloud footprint continues to grow, we're looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to help keep it secure by design.
This is a hands-on role focused on securing modern cloud platforms without slowing teams down. Our ambition is to build a scalable, automated cloud security posture that evolves as fast as our infrastructure — enabling innovation while keeping risk firmly under control.
The Role
As a Cloud Security Engineer, you'll work closely with platform and DevOps teams to design and operate secure cloud environments. You'll embed security into architecture, automation, and day-to-day cloud operations, acting as a subject-matter expert and trusted advisor.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement security controls across AWS and Azure
- Secure cloud networking, identity, and data at scale
- Automate cloud security controls using infrastructure as code
- Assess cloud environments, identify risks, and drive remediation
- Respond to and support investigation of cloud security incidents
- Advise engineering teams on secure cloud architecture
- Continuously improve cloud security posture and standards

Key Requirements
- Experience as a Cloud Security Engineer or similar role
- Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and threat models
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP security services
- Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools
- Experience securing containers, Kubernetes, and serverless workloads
- Familiarity with cloud security tooling for monitoring and incident response
- A collaborative mindset and comfort working in fast-paced environments
