Role Title: Senior Colleague Communications Manager
Division: Client Office
Location: London
Contract: 12 months
About the role
We're looking for an experienced senior colleague communications professional to lead the internal communications workstream for a major group-wide programme. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract (with potential to extend) and sits within the Colleague Communications & Advocacy team.
You'll own this workstream end-to-end, shaping the strategy, running the plan and delivering the day-to-day. It spans the whole of our business, so you'll be comfortable working across functions, engaging senior stakeholders in every part of the group and translating complex, sensitive material into clear, human communications for colleagues.
You'll know you're succeeding when colleagues across the group understand what the programme means for them and their work, senior leaders trust you as their comms partner, and the workstream delivers on time and to a consistently high standard, without needing to be closely managed.
What you'll be responsible for
- Owning the colleague communications strategy and plan for a group-wide programme, from design through to delivery
- Working hand-in-hand with business readiness and training teams to sequence comms, learning and change activity into a single, coherent colleague experience
- Drawing on the company narrative to shape and cascade programme messaging into key colleague touchpoints
- Partnering with senior leaders and programme leads across the business as their trusted communications adviser
- Producing and distributing high-quality, high-impact communications for a range of colleague audiences across the group
- Translating technical, procedural and change content into clear, plain English communications
- Developing and delivering communication plans that support change and transformation activity
- Using a modern, integrated mix of channels and formats, including SharePoint, Viva Engage, email, in-person and virtual events
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business on behalf of the Colleague Communications & Advocacy team
- Working with the wider team to maintain and continually improve our planning, production and measurement process
- Coaching colleagues on communications and managing agency partners where needed

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
