Senior Commercial Counsel – Full Time
Redis is seeking a full-time Senior Commercial Counsel to join our dynamic Legal team.
As a Senior Commercial Counsel, you will be a critical member of our Commercial Legal team, supporting Redis’ global Sales and Procurement teams for enterprise software licensing, SaaS agreements, and strategic commercial partnerships.
You’ll lead commercial and legal discussions with internal stakeholders, customers, and suppliers to ensure optimal deal structuring and risk management across our commercial agreements. Reporting directly to our Deputy General Counsel, Commercial & International.

If you have sound and practical business judgment and can provide business-oriented, practical legal advice on commercial transactions, this is the perfect challenge.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead contract negotiations inclusive of:
- SaaS purchases
- Hardware purchases
- Real estate leases
- Insurance agreements
- DPA (Data Processing Agreements, including GDPR/CCPA compliance)
- Contractor agreements and other supplier requests
- Drive complex deal closure by advising on and negotiating:
- Enterprise commercial licenses (SaaS & On-Prem)
- Professional services
- Channel partner agreements
- Non-disclosure agreements
- Strategic commercial partnerships
- Partner cross-functionally with procurement, sales, deal desk, finance, and security teams to optimize deal terms and accelerate closure.
- Lead process optimization for contracts using AI and automation tools to streamline workflow and reduce cycle times.
- Identify and resolve legal/regulatory issues related to commercial contracts.
- Help maintain/improve contract templates, playbooks, and internal legal processes in collaboration with Legal team members.
- Draft/draft and negotiate amendments for existing agreements, as needed.
- Negotiate inbound software and SaaS agreements, including supply chain/procurement contracts and amendments.

Qualifications & Experience Required
- Legal qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales or an equivalent international qualification with the right to work in the UK.
- 6+ years of progressive legal experience, focused on:
- Software licensing (law firm/in-house)
- SaaS agreements
- Demonstrated experience in AI-based legal tools (contract automation, redlining, research).
- Proven ability to:
- Work independently with minimal guidance on moderate to highly complex problems.
- Contribute effectively to cross-functional teams.
- Strong disciplinary knowledge in legal domain, basic understanding of adjacent fields (e.g., procurement, SaaS operations).
- Discovery organizational skills, adeptness at managing a high-volume deal flow, and meeting tight deadlines.
- Common sense, excellent judgment, and a good sense of humor/collaborative spirit!
Extra Perks If You Have

- In-house legal experience, especially at a high-growth tech company.
- Degree in business/technology (e.g., Business Law, Computer Science, Finance).
- Experience in international commercial agreements and data localization challenges.
- Fluency in languages such as French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese.
