Senior Commercial Finance Manager
Huntingdon
£85,000 + £6,000 Car Allowance + 20% Bonus + Private Healthcare
Hybrid (4 Days Onsite, 1 Day WFH)
We're partnering with a market-leading FMCG business to recruit a Senior Commercial Finance Manager into a high-profile leadership role supporting a business unit with revenues of approximately £250 million.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Finance Director, this is a genuine succession opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to develop into a future Head of Commercial Finance.
You'll combine strategic business partnering with leadership responsibilities, working closely with senior commercial stakeholders to influence pricing strategy, customer profitability, tenders, and commercial decision-making. With responsibility for leading a team of two and exposure to executive-level decision-making, this role offers the ideal platform for someone ready to take the next step in their commercial finance career.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Commercial Finance Director, you'll act as the strategic finance partner to the Commercial Directors, providing financial leadership across several of the business's largest customer accounts.
Supporting key product categories, you'll combine commercial insight with financial rigour to help drive profitable growth across the business.

Managing a team of two, you'll deliver meaningful analysis, challenge commercial decisions, and help shape business strategy through high-quality financial insight.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Commercial Directors to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Lead financial input into customer tenders, pricing reviews, and commercial negotiations.
- Analyse customer and product profitability, identifying opportunities to improve revenue and margin performance.
- Deliver insightful reporting, forecasting, and commercial analysis to support senior leadership.
- Produce KPI reporting, trend analysis, and commercial recommendations that influence business performance.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for your business area.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of two finance professionals.
- Drive continuous improvement across reporting, systems, and commercial finance processes.
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Procurement, and the wider Finance team to support end-to-end commercial decision-making.
- Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities to improve profitability and financial performance.
About You

You'll be a commercially-minded qualified accountant who enjoys influencing decisions, building relationships, and partnering with senior stakeholders.
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
- Experience within Commercial Finance, Finance Business Partnering, or Commercial FP&A.
- A proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
- Experience supporting pricing, tenders, customer profitability, and commercial analysis.
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous experience managing or mentoring a small team.
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, retail, or another fast-paced commercial environment would be advantageous, but not essential.
