Position – Senior Commercial Key Account Handler
Location – Orpington

Overview
We are currently looking for a Senior Commercial Key Account Handler to join our professional and welcoming team in Orpington.

You will be joining a busy, proactive team of brokers who specialise in Commercial Insurance. This is the perfect role for someone with previous experience in either a commercial/corporate broker or insurance company looking to develop their commercial insurance skills and their career.
Working alongside like-minded and experienced insurance brokers, this is a long-term opportunity with a ‘forever company’ that will provide career progression and security.
Day to day
- Working alongside Account Executives to retain and generate new business, in line with or in excess of, company targets
- Obtaining new business/renewal terms, negotiating and closing with Insurers
- Create documents for new customers, along with any mid-term adjustments and renewals information too.
- Ensure all customer details are recorded accurately and entered onto the system in a timely fashion
- Checking policy documents, covers, endorsements, etc. to ensure that they are correct and in line with the customer’s needs.
- Attending customer meetings and preparing meeting minutes
- Working on all aspects of account management and service delivery to customers, ensuring customers’ needs are identified and met in line with agreed service standards
- Manage all day-to-day queries, renewals, amendments, and mid-term adjustments
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, prospects, teams, and insurers to provide best-in-class service and drive growth
- Sharing ideas to develop our proposition at a senior level and impact change across junior members of the team
- Mentoring less experienced colleagues to develop and drive high standards
- Opportunities to provide training sessions to junior team members in conjunction with the training team
- Maintaining day-to-day compliance procedures for FCA Regulation
- Maintain a detailed understanding of changing market conditions and understands and complies with all compliance, professional, and transparency standards to better serve clients
- Incoming and outbound call handling - new and existing customers

This role offers hybrid working once the initial training plan has been completed with an expectation to be in the office only three times a week thereafter.
