About this role
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Loan Closing Specialist to join our CIB Middle Office team, supporting the growing Fund Finance business within Corporate & Investment Banking Operations.
In this role, you will partner closely with Credit, Legal, Relationship Management, and Loan Operations teams to facilitate the successful execution of complex lending transactions. You will be responsible for managing the loan closing lifecycle, ensuring the accurate completion of pre-closing and closing activities, coordinating loan booking processes, and delivering a seamless client experience.
Acting as a key interface between the Fund Finance business and the Loan Operations Deal Closing team, you will leverage your expertise across the full transaction lifecycle from deal origination through to closing to drive execution excellence, mitigate operational risk, and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

In this role, you will:
- Provide credit deal team support responsible for proper initiation and accuracy of loan documentation and pre-closing/closing tasks for direct and operating exposure.
- Coordinate loan booking and closing activities to ensure consistent, timely and accurate credit delivery to our clients.
- Develop expertise in bank policies, procedures, and compliance requirements and ensure adherence.
- Book all operating exposure onto the applicable systems of record.
- Evaluate and ensure accurate new and existing data in the systems of record.
- Partner with managers to resolve issues and provide status updates on implementations.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Verify compliance and report identified issues for resolution.

Required Qualifications
- Credit underwriting experience and related customer due diligence processes and credit documents.
- Experience utilizing the nCino system.
- Knowledge of booking and closing processes and credit systems such as LoanIQ, Saleforce and STARS.
- Experience applying compliance and regulatory requirements, including Reg U, Reg W, Volker, QFC, CRR, Flood.
- Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills.
