About the Role
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join a growing food manufacturing business supplying major retail and foodservice customers across the UK and Ireland. This is a strategic and customer-facing role responsible for managing key accounts, developing commercial opportunities, and working cross-functionally to deliver sustainable growth. The successful candidate will build strong customer relationships while ensuring commercial objectives are achieved through collaboration with technical, operations, NPD and supply chain teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with key retail and foodservice customers.
- Deliver account growth through effective commercial planning and execution.
- Lead customer negotiations, including pricing, promotional activity and contract discussions.
- Identify new business opportunities and support the acquisition of new customers.
- Develop annual account plans aligned with business objectives.
- Forecast sales, monitor performance and report against commercial KPIs.
- Work closely with NPD to deliver successful product launches and customer projects.
- Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain and Technical teams to ensure excellent customer service and delivery.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer insight to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals and business reviews.
- Ensure strong margin management and profitability across the customer portfolio.
- Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events and trade shows where required.

About You
- Previous experience in a Commercial Manager, National Account Manager or Key Account Manager role within food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Experience managing major retail and/or foodservice customers.
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to grow customer accounts and deliver sales targets.
- Confident presenting to senior stakeholders and building long-term relationships.
- Highly organised with excellent analytical and forecasting skills.
- Able to work collaboratively across multiple business functions.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customers as required.
