About the Role
At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re driving the UK’s most ambitious nuclear project to create a safe and secure energy future. As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will lead commercial excellence within one of the most complex UK infrastructure projects, integrating mechanical, electrical, and HVAC works under alliance-based delivery.
This strategic role requires managing professional relationships, optimising performance, mitigating risk, and ensuring compliance with robust commercial practices.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Commercial Leadership
- Direct commercial activities across multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring alignment with alliance objectives
- Lead contract administration and change control processes, adhering to NEC frameworks (NEC3/NEC4)

Financial & Operational Control
- Drive cost control, forecasting, and reporting using tools such as CEMAR, Power BI
- Oversee audits, cost verification, and payment certification, maintaining transparency and compliance

- Stakeholder Relationships & Team Development
- Build and sustain collaborative partnerships across project delivery teams and client organisations
- Lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
Essential Experience & Knowledge
- Proven strategic commercial delivery on large-scale infrastructure/engineering projects
- Strong expertise in NEC3/NEC4 contracts and change management processes
- Experience working within joint venture or alliance environments
- Hands-on familiarity with commercial platforms such as CEMAR, SharePoint, Power BI
Desirable Qualifications
- Professional membership or accreditation (e.g., MCIPS, IACCM/WCC, Postgraduate Certificate in Commercial Management)
Security Clearance Requirement
Applicants must hold or be eligible to obtain UK Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance.
