Senior Commercial Manager (Project-Based Role)
Copello have partnered with an established engineering business in the recruitment of a Senior Commercial Manager to lead high-value, complex contractual activity throughout the full project lifecycle.
This critical role involves ensuring:
- Strong commercial governance
- Robust contract management
- Effective risk and opportunity control
The manager will support delivery teams and senior stakeholders with clear, commercially sound insight.

- Manage complex contracts across the entire lifecycle, including:
- Change control processes
- Claims handling
- Contract negotiations
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks and contractual exposures
- Ensure contractual, regulatory, and governance compliance across all activities
- Serve as a key commercial interface between customers and senior stakeholders
- Develop and implement negotiation strategies to achieve balanced, sustainable commercial outcomes
Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Proven experience in managing complex contracts within a project-based environment
- Strong track record in:
- Managing commercial risk
- Handling contractual change and negotiations
- Enhanced financial and contractual acumen
- Desirable: Experience in large-scale or highly regulated environments
Eligibility
⚠️ SC Security Clearance eligibility is mandatory for this role.
