The Role

The Senior Commercial Manager (SCM) is the commercial conscience and contract custodian for our major outsourcing agreements in a given sector.
The SCM acts as the guardian of margin and risk management. Working closely with the Client Partnering and Client Services leadership teams, the SCM will provide commercial support from implementation to exit, to help prevent contract erosion, reduce contractual risk for AMS and our clients, and create and convert commercial value.
Reporting to the Commercial Development Director, the SCM will also support them on, or lead, new logo deals and pre-signature engagements, as and when needed. As a senior member of the commercial team, the SCM is expected to operate with minimal direct supervision and demonstrate the ability to independently lead and conclude negotiations.

  • Analyze and interpret contracts or related documents.
  • Engage directly with clients as needed, including during complex governance conversations or contractual disputes.
  • Guide Client Partnering and Client Services Teams on AMS governance and how to engage SME teams to drive growth and business development.

  • Perform revenue leakage assessments and advise where deviations from the CBD exist or are not understood.
  • Identify scope creep and goodwill, ensuring measurable monetary values and a plan to realise value.

  • Develop and provide “top up” contract awareness and commercial training.
  • Share insights and best practice from other accounts.
  • Update commercial reports and trackers as required.
  • Ensure decision makers are aware of the delegation matrix and that it is followed for all new business and change.
  • Contribute to the adoption of technologies and standardised global processes including implementation of AI, tools and technologies, best-practice workflows, guidelines and education to enhance efficiency, consistency, and scalability

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
