Senior Commercial Proposals Manager
Job Description Summary
The Senior Commercial Proposals Manager is responsible for leading proposal activities for the Europe & Africa region. This includes collaborating with cross functional stakeholders to evaluate, plan, and deliver timely proposals to our customer based aligned with internal guiding principles and overarching business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
Review customer requirements and be able to translate into tangible solutions aligned to our business strategy Provide thought leadership during deal reviews to ensure robust understanding of deal specs and commercial risks Lead efforts to enhance and automate deal generation processes to enable timely response to customers Leverage sales and marketing teams to deepen understanding of airline, airframer, and lessor operations as well as growth strategies Support deal negotiations with customers as needed
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent, ideally in engineering, finance, or business-related field of studies Extensive experience in the aerospace, defense, or power related industries
Desired Characteristics
Prior experience working in or closely with sales, marketing, commercial finance/risk, commercial proposals, and/or contracts Working knowledge of financial analyses such as risk, tax, and legal principles Experience in developing, negotiating, and managing long term customer service agreements Applied experience using lean, six sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to drive efficiencies in transactional processes Comfortability working in a high paced, high intensity environment with heavy exposure to senior leaders Proven ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders and influence to drive outcomes across a global, matrixed organization Demonstrated written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate key concepts in a succinct, clear manner to a variety of audiences including but not limited to the customer and/or senior leaders Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple large, complex projects simultaneously Role model of GE Aerospace Behaviors – Customer Focus, Continuous Improvement, and Respect for People
