Job Purpose
As our Senior Surveyor you’ll build long term relationships with our customers, understanding and anticipating their requirements at every step of their property journey. Collaborating effectively with our multi-disciplined internal Surveyors to provide the best possible service, achieving our customer loyalty objective within the Manchester portfolio.
As part of a wider surveying team you’ll look after our Manchester Regional and City Centre, here are some examples of the portfolio:
- Foundation
- Landmark House
- Booths Park
- Lancastrian
- Atria
What We’re Looking For
Ideally you’ll be from a similar commercial property related background, across a similar discipline such as commercial agency. We’re open to other backgrounds in commercial property - however the more customer facing you are, and the more you enjoy working proactively with customers the better.
As an excellent communicator, you will have the ability to remain professional during challenging conversations, negotiations and stakeholder relationships.
You have the ability to gather, analyse and action commercial decisions using customer and industry insight, utilising internal and external systems.
- Ability to recognise strategic opportunities in assets - including changing customer mix, occupational locations and development opportunities to deliver higher return.
- Ability to develop a strong presence in the market, building purposeful relationships with agents, solicitors and stakeholders, attending networking events, Bruntwood events and other conference/seminar events looking for continuous personal development.
- You are a credible expert, earning respect in the business through capability, authenticity and being brilliant to work with.
- Relentlessly and passionately customer focused, you will thrive on momentum and experimentation. This also means you will learn quickly and work well in ambiguity and changing environments.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Own and manage a number of key customer accounts within the Bruntwood portfolio, driving retention and developing strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
- Building a detailed knowledge of customer businesses and the sectors within which they operate.
- Deliver on all elements of full lifecycle account management including; rent reviews and renewals, expansions and relocations. Using your customer relationship to support debt management when needed.
- Connecting our customers to resources that support their success, through knowledge and understanding of our suite of products, services, business support and community activity.
- Drive the use of our internal CRM system, working with internal teams to monitor performance and utilise data for reporting, trend analysis, insight and decision making.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team with colleagues and departments across the business, ensuring a holistic approach to deliver a seamless customer journey.
- Remain constantly aware of the need to maintain values and standards within the portfolio, liaising with internal stakeholders including; Asset Management, Operations & Commercial.
- Maintain awareness of market dynamics and competition, utilising networks and relationships, whilst continually acting as an ambassador for the Bruntwood brand.
- Attending and hosting customers and prospective customers at community, business support and networking events.
