Senior Communications Manager

As a key contributor to the SIPP leadership team, the purpose of the Senior Communications Manager role is to lead, manage and continuously enhance SIPP customer communications across the business. The role has strategic and operational accountability for ensuring all customer and distributor communications—verbal, digital and paper-based—are clear, engaging, and deliver good customer outcomes.

This is a permanent role that can be based in our Cheltenham or Glasgow office.

A snapshot of your day: Provide strategic leadership for SIPP customer communications, setting standards, direction and priorities aligned to Consumer Duty and the Customer Understanding Outcome Lead and manage the delivery of Consumer Duty communication accountabilities, acting as a key partner to the Head of SIPP Proposition and other senior stakeholders. Take accountability for ensuring all communications are clear, engaging and outcome-focused, enabling customers to make effective, timely and well‑informed decisions, with a clear understanding of risks. Establish and embed best practice principles for simple, logical and consistent communications, ensuring customer needs and behaviours are central to all design and delivery. Ensure communications meet the needs of the defined target market, with oversight of how behavioural biases may impact customer decision‑making, and ensuring these are not exploited.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
