About The Role
The Senior Communications Manager for Floorcare will lead the global narrative for Dyson’s iconic, industry-leading cleaning products—the foundation of the company’s success. This role requires strong collaboration, insight-sharing, and influence across international markets. You will develop integrated communications plans that align with business objectives and position Dyson as a leader in engineering and innovation, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Collaboration: Work closely with global markets, Floorcare Business Unit leaders, and the in-house Creative Agency.
- Campaigns: Deliver launch, sustain, and drumbeat campaigns, shaping global messaging and creative direction.
- Media Expertise: With deep expertise in media, social, and influencer landscapes, build strong stakeholder relationships and identify compelling stories that resonate with global audiences.
- Leadership: Lead Communications activities end-to-end, from strategic planning to execution of campaigns with a focus on driving earned press and influencer coverage.
- Strategic Planning: Provide strategic communications advice to the Directors of the Business Units and the Leadership teams of the Marketing and Communications functions.
- Budget Management: Manage budgets to ensure efficiencies across our global work and secure the tools and resources to carry out local and global launch events.
- Communication Skills: Devise and implement excellent external and internal Communications strategies focused on telling stories around our core technology, our machines, our innovation, and the Dyson philosophy.
- Monitoring and Response: Oversee in-depth real-time monitoring, analysis, reporting, and response to press coverage and social media interactions on a timely basis and across a wide spectrum of media.

About You
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Language: Fluent in English. Another language is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 7+ years’ experience in a role focused on communications – either in-house, agency side as part of a fast-paced, agile, and change-driven industry.
- Skills:
- Strong accountability for results, balancing strategic planning with tactical implementation.
- Analytical skills and ability to distil information with a focus on quality and detail, rather than quantity.
- Ability to build and effect change - at both a people and process level.
- Superior management skills, particularly when project managing events.
- Proven ability to influence and engage people up, down, and across the organization in order to bring about change.
- Demonstrated skill and comfort in building relationships with top-tier internal stakeholders, and in successfully creating global campaigns to achieve commercial success.
