Job Title: Senior Communications Specialist - Southern Europe Requisition ID: R026721 Job Description: Job Title: Communications Senior Specialist, Activision Blizzard, Southern Europe Reporting To: Communications Director, EMEA Department: Communications Location: Soho, London Role Overview As Communications Senior Specialist for Southern Europe, you will be supporting Activision and Blizzard franchise communications initiatives across France, Benelux, Spain and Italy. You will drive local narrative development, media engagement and influencer relations. You will thrive in an energetic team environment, will be highly organized and able to work independently, while contributing to the goals of the team. Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities: Contributing to planning and execution of comms initiatives for key Activision and Blizzard franchises in Southern Europe. Crafting compelling narratives and multi-channel content strategies. Working with external agencies, to ensure integrated campaign executions and optimization of resources. Generate creative ideas which drive enhanced editorial content and coverage. Crisis & Issues Management, aligning messaging with global teams during sensitive periods. Reporting & Insights - Use measurement tools to evaluate campaign success and deliver reports to internal stakeholders. Engage with key media, partners, and creators, where needed to support communications delivery. Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with the local press and with additional key media partners in relation to our products. Key Skills & Experience This role is a Senior Specialist level position where you'll thrive with a can-do attitude, and won't be afraid to get proactively involved in a working environment that will empower and encourage you to think creatively, all whilst sharing in some great company benefits and initiatives. A Degree level Education (preferred) relevant to the experience required for the role. Demonstrable professional experience in Communications with Press and Creators, ideally for an Entertainment brand. Excellent spoken and written skills in English and fluency in one other European language. Fluency in French or Spanish highly desirable. Clear self-motivation with a history of exceeding high-performance standards Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. A willingness to travel should be required in role. You will demonstrate confidence, initiative, and approachability, consistently fostering team collaboration. Additionally, you possess ambition, determination, and the ability to work independently, when necessary, all while maintaining a positive attitude. Expertise in media relations, crisis management, and cross-cultural communications. Strong understanding of the European media landscape and influencer ecosystem. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
