Senior Community Nurse - District Nursing Night Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the recruitment of a Senior Community Nurse within the District Nursing Night Team. This appealing role will enable the successful person to support the leadership and management of staff and the caseload within the District Nurse night service to meet the needs of the population.
Requirements
Interested applicants will need to be registered nurses who have relevant nursing qualifications to degree level, specialist post-registration education and leadership training or equivalent experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a defined caseload
- Ensure that the care needs of the caseload are met by effective management and appropriate delegation of work to other members of the team
- Work in partnership with the primary health care team and liaise and cooperate with everyone involved in holistic patient care
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge, advanced analytical and practical skills, and the ability to communicate in a non-judgemental, empathetic way with patients, carers, and other professionals
- Provide clinical supervision and leadership to junior staff and support staff development
