Senior Community Physiotherapist
Specialised Physiotherapist – Integrated Neighbourhood Team (Camden, London)
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to join the Specialised Physiotherapist team within the Integrated Neighbourhood Teams in Camden borough.
This role involves:
- Working across community-based services, residential homes, therapy gyms, and community facilities
- Supporting clients with client-centred assessment, rehabilitation, and disability management
- Covering a Mental Health inpatient unit

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Practice
- Deliver a high-quality, efficient physiotherapy service within the Integrated Community Health Service
- Actively engage in multi-disciplinary team projects, service development, and clinical audits
- Provide supervision to rehabilitation assistants and physiotherapy students
Client-Centred Care
- Assess clients with diverse needs using subjective questioning, objective assessments, and medical records
- Prioritise conditions based on clinical reasoning, prognosis, and social/emotional factors
- Set treatment goals in collaboration with clients or carers
- Apply evidence-based practice, standardised measures, and patient outcomes
- Independently screen complex referrals, establish priorities, and initiate intervention plans
- Identify deteriorating patients and escalate concerns in a timely manner

Person Specification
Education/Quaifications
✔ Essential Criteria
- Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
- Registered with HPC (Health and Care Professions Council)
💡 Desirable Criteria
- Postgraduate degree
- Membership of a specialist interest group (e.g., via professional bodies)
- Completion of Relevant Post-Registration Courses:

Experience

- Older People/Frailty Rehabilitation
- Falls management
- Dementia & delirium assessment
- Community physiotherapy delivery
- Respiratory rehab
- Group work facilitation
- Supervision of students/rehabilitation assistants
- Teaching junior colleagues & assistants
- Previous work experience as a Physiotherapist abroad (UK/equivalent economy)
